Parent Participation Program

One of the things that greatly enriches the experience at St. Augustine School is the generous donation of time that our parents provide. Parents meet and work side by side with other parents, enriching their own relationships while providing support to the children.

We require each family to contribute 45 hours of their time during each school year. We provide a range of activities to suit even the most hectic adult schedule. In cases where contribution of time is impossible, a monetary one can be made instead.

Below is a list of activities and the maximum amount of time that can be claimed for each. Note that this is not a list of all activities, but simply the ones that seem to generate questions regarding allowable time.

Parents are required to have at least 15 hours of service accomplished by February 1. Each activity’s time allotment is based on the $13.50/hour rate assigned by the PEC.

All other volunteer activities can be found in the notices sent home with your child. Please remember to use the Parent Participation link on the front page or fill out the pink participation forms regularly and drop them in the parent participation box outside the grade 5 classroom.
