Advent Giving

During Advent, the school has a number of ways in which we try to be like Jesus and help those in need. By the last day of school before Christmas Break, December 21, St. Augustine School delivered countless items to and supported the Sancta Maria House, families in need, local Catholic charities, and the Oblate Missions. Christmas cards were also written and delivered to elderly patients at VGH not able to be home with family over Christmas. What a fantastic and wonderful way to celebrate Christmas by continuing the mission of Jesus and the work of the Church! Thank you to all who so generously donated to our Advent Giving initiatives! As we begin this new year, we want to continue, as a faith community, to answer God's question to us "What do you ask of me, Lord?" through acts of charity. Our post-Christmas work will involve the collection of non-perishable food items for the Food Bank through the months of January and into February.
