We say “farewell” to 31 fine young men and women who brought wonderful energy and spirit to our school. Their presence will be missed: faith-filled and active in our Church community, inquisitive and independent in their studies, patient and affirming when working with younger students, generous in using their time and talents to be of service to others, positive in their outlook, enthusiastic in their approach to life, filled with laughter and good humour and very friendly.
We remember many accomplishments, including: the boys winning the Catholic Schools Volleyball Champions; the girls advancing to the top eight in the CISVA basketball league; helping at the Seniors’ Luncheons, being leaders and running Family Group activities; taking part in Funeral Ministry and representing the school at Father Brioux’s funeral, leading the school in an all day retreat on Holy Thursday and, of course, going on field trips such as Spirit Day, Camp and visiting with the Sisters of St. Ann on their trip to Victoria.
We wish them all the best as they head off to a number of different high schools. Six will be attending St. Patrick Regional, seven are going to Vancouver College, fourteen to Little Flower Academy and four will be going to public schools closer to their homes. We are proud of all that they are and all that they have done.
